  • Must have:
    • Minimum of two years’ experience in home care
    • Health Care Aide certification as a minimum

  • Summer Student – Accounting Assistant Intern

We are looking for an exceptionally compassionate and caring individual to provide various in-home services including personal care, homemaking and companionship for our client.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Summer Accounting Assistant Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a career in accounting to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of financial management, including payroll and invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing:

   – Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees.

   – Verify timekeeping records and ensure accuracy of payroll data.

   – Address payroll-related inquiries from employees.

  1. Invoicing and Accounts Receivable:

   – Generate and issue customer invoices in a timely manner.

   – Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.

   – Assist in reconciling discrepancies and resolving billing issues.

  1. Expense Management:

   – Review and process employee expense reports.

   – Ensure compliance with company expense policies.

   – Reconcile credit card statements and receipts.

  1. Financial Recordkeeping:

   – Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

   – Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed.

   – Support the in month-end closing processes.

  1. Collaboration:

   – Work closely with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.

   – Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for accounting tasks.

Qualifications:

– Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program with a focus on Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

– Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.

– Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (experience with QuickBooks is a plus).

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

– Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Duration, Hours & Wage:

– This is a summer internship position with a flexible start and end date, lasting 3 to 4 months.

– Maximum 30 hours per week at a $20 hourly wage.

Qualifications:
